Training, curriculum and public policies: towards pedagogical praxis

Education, Curriculum, and Public Policy: Towards Pedagogical Praxis brings together fundamental reflections on the challenges and possibilities of contemporary education. Using a critical approach, the authors analyze issues ranging from higher education financing to teacher training, the development of inclusive and contextualized curricula, violence against women, representations of the Northeast, and pedagogical practices in Youth and Adult Education (EJA). The chapters explore pressing issues such as regional inequality, the effectiveness of public policies, and the need for a humanistic and liberating education, inspired by thinkers such as Paulo Freire and Carl Rogers. From different perspectives, the authors analyze how public policies shape teaching and learning, highlighting the importance of pedagogical praxis in building a more just and democratic society.
