Submissions


THE   The Nova Terra Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal accepts research papers (scientific articles), scientific essays, and experience reports and does not charge any article processing fees.


Unpublished articles and/or experience reports must be written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. Submitted papers will be evaluated using a double-blind system.


Each article may have a maximum of three (3) authors; at least one (1) of the authors must have a master's degree. To control endogeneity, upon publishing a text in the journal, the main author will be prevented from submitting another text for evaluation, as the main author, for a period of one (1) year.


All authors must indicate the ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number in the “Profile” of the author(s) of the article and/or experience report.

The author's title, institution, city, state, country, email address, research group, and ORCID must be included as a footnote in the text. Failure to include this information will result in the submission being automatically archived.


The text cannot be identified by the author, ensuring anonymity during the review process, which will be double-blind, as mentioned. Upon submission, the following must be submitted: identified article (Word), unidentified article (Word), and a statement of authorship signed by all authors (PDF). https://abre.ai/jshq In the unidentified version, author citations must be removed from the text.


In accordance with the provisions of these General Standards, the text is configured for A4 paper, observing the following instructions: typing in Word for Windows; right/top/bottom margin 2.5 cm; left margin 2.5 cm; Times New Roman font in size 12, with 1.5 cm line spacing and justified alignment.


Papers with a total length of between 15 and 25 pages, including abstracts, footnotes, and references, will be accepted. Exceptions must be justified and will be reviewed by the editors.

General guidelines for text format

Title in Portuguese: Times New Roman, centered, font 14, uppercase, bold, single-spaced; (maximum 120 characters with spaces)

Title in English: Times New Roman, centered, font 14, bold, single-spaced.

Abstract in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The word "Abstract" should be written in Times New Roman font, size 12, in bold, single-spaced, left-aligned, and followed by the abstract text. The article abstract should be written in Times New Roman font, size 11, single-spaced, justified, without paragraph indentation, and contain 100 to 250 words.

The abstract should contain the following elements: Objectives, Methodological Procedures, Results, and Conclusions. Keywords: Up to four keywords may be used. They should be presented in Times New Roman font, size 11, single-spaced, justified, and separated by a period. Abstract: Follows the same guidelines as the Summary, and is written in English. Keywords: Follows the same guidelines as the Keywords, and is written in English. Resumen: Follows the same guidelines as the Resumo, and is written in Spanish.

Keywords: Keywords: Follow the same guidelines as Keywords, being written in Spanish.

Subtitles should be in Times New Roman font, size 12, bold, with 1.5 line spacing, justified, and without section or subsection numbers. Only the initial letter of the subtitle should be capitalized. The body of the text should begin on the second line after each section's subtitle.


For quotations (from four lines), use Times New Roman font, single spacing and size 11.


Only record, in the references, the authors cited in the body of the text, and write the full names of the authors and translators.


Notes must be for explanatory purposes only and appear in the footer of the same page on which they appear, and must therefore be included in the body of the text. Each explanatory note must contain a maximum of five (5) lines.


The figures and images contained in the article and/or experience report must be in high resolution, as this is a criterion that prevents evaluation.


The formatting of the manuscript, bibliographical references and mentions of authors in the text will be subject to ABNT Technical Standards – NBR 10520/2023.


Other items to be observed when typing texts: double quotation marks only for direct quotations in the body of the text; italics for words with unconventional use and for foreign words, neologisms and titles of works and publications;


Failure to comply with the highlighted items will result in automatic rejection of the submission.


Copyright Declaration


A new publication of an article previously published in the Nova Terra Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal is subject to express acknowledgement of its publication precedence in this journal, following the referencing guidelines. Authors who publish in the journal agree to the following terms:


  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to make normative, syntactical, orthographic, and bibliographical changes to originals in order to maintain the formal language while respecting the authors' style. Final proofs may or may not be sent to the authors.

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License ( CC BY-SA ).

  • Authors are authorized to enter into additional contracts separately, for non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this journal, for example: publishing in an institutional repository or as a book chapter, with acknowledgement of authorship and initial publication in the Revista Científica Multidisciplinar Nova Terra .

  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to publish and distribute their work online—in institutional repositories, on their personal websites, on social media, or on other scientific dissemination sites.
